I feel like if thats the person that you other people to know then go for it.

Daaammmmnnn boy!
Sit down and have another drink.
Read the above qoute and tell me if that $#!+ makes sence to you?

It ain't about telling no lie. It's about telling what you really feel.
Many of the weekend warriors that reside on these here forums talk the talk but they don't have a clue on how to walk the walk.

There is a whole lot more to life than this here duck killing. Too many of you boys can't see the forest for the trees. My problem is I'm too busy looking at the trees to relize I'm in the forest.

I have lived one hell of a life, Seen most of the world, lost buddies close to me only to be glad it was not me.

What do I like to do. BAWAHAHAHA
I like to screw with you boys that proclaim life as if it is something put here for you.

You boys take so much pride in killing, you can't even see the life around you. I 'm so glad I have raised above that level.

You got a pipe? then put that in it and puff awhile.

I have been posting on MSDUcks for quite some time now and have often wondered what other outdoor hobbies some of the regulars (and not so regulars) have other than duck hunting.

We weren't asked to bare our souls or give our philosphies of life.

I enjoyed your post but didn't see any thing worth fussin' about.

Well aren't you the clever one. That is exactly what we were asked to do is bear our souls. When you tell someone what your hobbies are that is telling them what you ae made of.
What you do from day to day is what makes you what you are.
Didn't say nothing about fussin. Debate is different. Kind of like shooting a hen. Those that do it don't see nothing wrong with it those that don't know the difference.

Occasionally.

Have to disagree there. Surprised?

When you tell someone what your hobbies are that is telling them what you ae made of.

Not really. Hobbies have little to do with character assuming the "hobby" is legal. Take hunting for instance. Enjoying hunting has little to do with how we hunt. If it did we wouldn't have discussions about hunting ethics would we?

What you do from day to day is what makes you what you are.

No, what you do from day to day and how you do it is the result of what you are. However, it will impact what you become.

Didn't say nothing about fussin.

Then quit.

Kind of like shooting a hen. Those that do it don't see nothing wrong with it those that don't know the difference.

Interesting analogy. There are regulations on the number of hens a person can legally shoot but some folks think it unethical. Our ethics aren't always codified into law and most folks don't want to legislate morality unless it's their own. :D

Sorry, didn't mean to fuss. :D

I think xpress was trying to see what hobbies people have other than duck hunting. I don't think he was asking for a philosopy lesson from any of us. I personaly can't say who is a "weekend warrior" and who can walk the walk, I don't think anyone can by looking at a computer screen. I don't really care. I think most all of us love duck hunting or we wouldn't be on a duck board in August. What's the definition of a weekend warrior anyhow?I know some great duck hunters that can only hunt on the weekend, are they weekend warriors? I know some others who hunt all the time that don't know sheit about duck hunting.

I agree there is more to life than duck killing, but that's not why I come to these duck hunting sites. I like to talk to fellow duck hunters about duck "stuff."

NOT trying to start a debate, just my opinion.

Okay guys, I've been gone for a few days and I come back and find all of this. You lost me here. I didn't see what was wrong with the initial question. We all enjoy getting out into the woods and enjoying the whole man vs. nature thing. That's why a lot of us come on here to talk as well. We have our "man time" in the winter when we can get out in the woods. Our wives, daughters, sisters, girlfriends, etc. don't want to hear us talk about hunting the other 305 days of the year. This gives us a "refuge" if ya'll will allow me to use that word.

Personally, if the sole sake of killing something is someone's motivation for hunting, go to a war torn country and join forces with the natives. You'll eventually make someone else's day who is just like you and get shot.

Another question....
Who is lying? I didn't follow that. This ain't a chat room with people trying to "hook up", or at least I hope it's not. I don't see anyone pm-ing their stats to one another.

Anyway, back to the subject.

Hobbies away from Ducking:

Summer = water stuff: skiing, waverunners, swimming, fishing, etc.

Fall/Winter = family & food (holiday), hunting, and football.

You can always count on Duckmen to be totin' a big ol' spoon to stir the pot. Even when there is nothing to stir. Mallardchaser hit the nail on hte head about my first post. But Duckmen, I was also entertained by your input. Sounded like I bucket of horse taters but I was entertained.
