Crawfish Prices

Postby bigbeeducker » Thu Apr 17, 2008 9:27 am

The guy that owns the only place in Starkville that sells em smokes too much devils lettuce. He wants 3.50 a pound for em live, I aint payin it. Anywhere close that I can get some. Within maybe 60 miles. Preferably closer.

Im surprised he is not selling them higher than that being a college town.

They told me yesterday 2.89 a pound in Starkville. I still thought it was too high.

I am a lot further south, but I boiled 400 lbs last Wednesday and paid .99/lb, then boiled two sacks on Sunday and paid .90/lb. Even with gas prices they way they are, it may be worth a drive down here to save that much on crawfish if you are planning on any kind of big boil.

bought 4 sacks of baby lobsters avg. 39 pounds tuesday.. 40$ per sack.... this was near lafayette though... can get them for .69 cents per pound here in mccomb, but they're not the biggest in the world.... .99 for decent ones here

on a side note, prices are supposed to level off..... they overproduced by accident the past month or two, which caused the prices to drop. They have since slacked off on production.
Sun rise in the east.... and it sets up in the West, yes the sun rise in east baby, and it sets up in the west..... It's hard to tell, hard to tell, hard to tell, which one, which one I love best.....
