Upcoming Season

Postby dukhntr21 » Tue Jul 22, 2003 12:27 pm

I'm going to be hunting a friend of mine's land this upcoming season around Como, MS. We have some rice planted and it's about 1/2 mile or less from a wildlife refuge in the area. I've heard that some on this site don't think we should be wasting our time planting and hunting this area b/c they have hundreds of acres they hunt around there and we won't kill anything b/c they get all the ducks. I have seen first hand in AR and AL that it doesn't matter how much land you have or whatever. I have killed limits morning after morning in a 40 acre rice field and seen the guys about 300 yards from me in the next rice field not shoot a thing. And the same guy owned and leased both fields. It just sort of shocked me to hear someone from the site say something so ignorant as this, even if it was in a PM. Does anyone else think we are completely wasting our time besides this person??

Sounds like mr. "brown top millet" man is quiet right now. If he knows what's best for him he'll stay that way! Unless he wants a little horsy horse on his computer.

Hey 21, I'll go with ya anyday !

It dosent sound like a good spot to me,.... sounds like a great spot !

Ducks are gonna get up and mill around, especially around a refuge. Due to traffic (human or animal). You shouldnt have any problem !
If they want in that hole,... your in bussiness !

I'll send ya my ph # if you run outta huntin buddies ! :D

Our spot is actually in between marks and sledge. About 15 miles west of como. Duckhunter 21, hows life as a college grad with that blow up doll? You had to leave AU the year of a number 5 national ranking too! Watch out Athens, GA we gonna light you up this fall.

Racks&Quacks, I'm still looking for a job back in AU. Even if I'm not going to school there, I'll still be down there about every weekend. And my doll still hasn't come in, how long did it take yours to get there. I'm sure we are going to light a few more people up other than UGA. Poor people are going to be having nightmares bout what happened to them 2 years ago there (bye bye hedges)!!!!

You boys from the "Silliest Village on the Plains" sure are sassy based on a preseason ranking when you havene't won a game yet this season. Bear in mind I am no big fan of UGA; it's just that I'm not much of a fan of Auburn at all. Be careful about preseason braggin'...just ask my MSU buddy Greenhead22. Good luck, right up til you meet my dogs...and it wouldn't hurt my feeling for my friend David Greene to light you boys up, as well! :D

Its ok, 4 of the best college running backs on 1 team offers us quite a bit of options, not to mention our coaches and the rest of the team. Even if we do lose a game, we have been known to be very unfriedly, with great success, to loud mouthed opponent fans!
