Grocery baits (corn, power eggs, etc.) are for topwaters. :wink:

I catch multiple daily limits (catch and release) every time I go to the Little Red ( using spinning tackle and/or fly rod). Like anything else, you just have to spend time on the river, learn how to fish it and when, and where to avoid the crowds.
You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.

I just got an email from the MidSouth Fly Fishers indicating that their weekend outing (March 8-9) on the Little Red has been cancelled due to the Corps of Engineers indicating they will not honor a prior committment to halt generation over the weekend (due to the excessive rains of the past week and the predicted rains). Seems the lake is 3 ft higher than they'd like it and they will be working to correct that.


...So, if you going anytime in the near future you probably want to take a boat or rent one.

dont get me started caller1.... you know better... that arkansas fishing trip was jinx from the start. honeybuns just dont taste the same after that trip... you know who the man is!!!!
