What do you fish for?

Postby missed mallards » Wed Feb 27, 2008 6:12 pm

So what do you fish for and why?

I do about it all

Bream, you normally can wear them out and they put up a good fight on light tackle.
Crappie, Same as above and are mighty taste.
Bass, ain't nothing like a hog slamming a topwater or one pounding a spinner bait as you work it down a log.

CATFISH, man alive i love it. When the bait clicker starts screaming i swear my hearts skips a beat. The size is unknown until they breach the top, but the fight is second to none.

So whats your game and reasons?
If I don't do it, I ain't gettin nun.......So i'm doing it

crappie- b/c I grew up fishing for them, they are tasty, and I just would rather fish for them over any other fish

Also like to stick a few with the bow on those warm summer nights
Life is to short to only fish on weekends

bass only, both largmouth and striped. That's all i grew up doing. I might be the worlds worst crappie fisherman, and I dont care about bream enough to mess with them.

Crappie because well (like the RNT boys say) It's what we do.

Bream on fly rod because its a challenge to get that bug in the right spot and then you hear that pop under the trees.

And I'll jug/run lines for white humpbacks, because its in my blood.

If some animals are good at hunting and others are suitable for hunting, then the Gods must clearly smile on hunting.

Bass...I love fishin a pig n jig, rubber worm, spinnerbaits, and topwater.
Catfish...mostly with the hands, but sometimes I like to go after em with rod n reel.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Bass , don't know why I like it so much. I enjoy fishing tournaments too, get to enjoy the competition with the fish and other anglers.
Crappie because I like eating em.
