Two rights don't make a wrong. Unless the guy was seriously obstructing the officer from responding to a call then there is no reason the guy should have been arrested. Until all the facts emerge and he's proven guilty, I'm going to assume he's innocent since that is how the justice system is supposed to work. I hate to admit it but I've known too many law enforcement officers who wrongly use their position and attitude to make a point when instead they could have used the better part of common sense to obtain more successful results. Hopefully, that is not the case in this situation.

Ah Greenville.

I have not heard about this story besides reading these posts. Sounds like the cop was having a bad day and took it out on someone that happened to be a Green Beret. Unless the police dept. does something to the story to save face, I see it getting tossed.
If it doesn't work out there will never be any doubt that the pleasure was worth all the pain.

It's Greenville!!!!

Ya'll know them boys in G'ville have a rep to protect. Heck when we got our new sheriff we lost all of our white officers, no joke.

I've noticed that some of the cops are ok people. Then some are a man/woman with a badge. I wonder how this is going to pan out/ like wdd said, probably get tossed.
If I don't do it, I ain't gettin nun.......So i'm doing it

Citizens arrest, Citizens arrest!!!!!  You know somebody just had to say it.

Sounds like an overzealous cop to me.

I've got a handicap card to hang from my rearview mirror and the part to hang it has broke. i've got it put on my sun visor with velcro and just flip it down when I park. Of course I forgot to flip it down one down when I parked and this 70ish something year old lady ate me up one side and down the other. I just walked back to the car and flipped the visor down. She was having none of it and had already gone and gotten store employees. When they saw the visor they just kind of rolled their eyes and walked off. She wasn't through with me yet. I started getting eat up for not having put the visor down and not having replaced the card so it could be hung properly.

I'm normally polite and nice to senile (sp.) old people because they can't help it. She pushed my button though. I told her she probably needed to call her doc and get some valium, I thought she might need it that day. I walked off with her still eating me out.

Handicapped parking is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. Had a sister with cancer, and when she got really bad we were using the parking places to get her in and out of the car and into her wheel chair. We needed that space. It was, and still is amazing how many people dont respect those handicapped places.

Go to Wal-Mart, and watch how many YOUNG democrats use the handicapped spaces, that obviously dont need them. I am also amazed at how many teenage democrats have handicapped signs hanging from their mirrors... they will use those spaces, and literally run into the store. More than pizzzes me off...
