Thanks for sharing that Richard. My life has been touched by cancer too many times. My mother succombed to breast cancer, my mother-in-law caught hers early enough and is cancer free, my sister-in-law had thyroid cancer and I had testicular cancer. I would urge anyone that has known or been touched by cancer to participate in any way you can with Relay For Life or the many other great cancer events.
FYI, I am the co-chair for the Baton Rouge Relaly, so if any of you BR Duckers need any information or care to sponsor a team or form a team, please let me know.

My grandfather died of an anaplastic astrocytoma, brain cancer for you non medical types. The thing couldn't be resected which would have bought him some time. It took two years for him to slowly waste away and loose his mental functions. Short term memory went, then he didn't know his grandkids, then his son, then his wife, and finally his brothers and sisters. Absolutley horrible.
Relay for Life is a great cause and I donate every year in memory of Papaw.

For any interested, my home lodge, Blountville #448 F & AM, is sponsoring a catfish dinner at this years Run for the Roses (5 k run and street festival) in Prentiss, MS on April 12. All proceeds of this fundraiser along with matching monies will be given to the Relay for Life event also in Prentiss to be set either at the end of April or first of May. Anyone with interest in either event, call me @ 6015432128 or email harrellcoulter@msn.com. Both events are always fun with good food and good entertainment. (just keep your cold beer in a cup)

Thank you so much for giving. When Richard called and told me that someone from MSDUCKS donated it made me cry. I never thought that someone here would be supportive and donate to my goal. I am a SURVIVOR, and those are my precious children that are on that website. Cancer is always near us but with great foundations and groups like relay for life, we will defeat it one day and our children, grandchildren, and great children will hopefully live without having to worry about dealing with this dreadful disease. Thank you so much for donating.

Realy is a great event.
I would believe that ALL of us has had our lives touched by someone with Cancer. Probably my greatest Christian experience was surrounded by Cancer and the life it took a few years ago.
Best of luck this year

If it doesn't work out there will never be any doubt that the pleasure was worth all the pain.
