Shimano Chronarch.... the Curado's are pretty nice as well, but I won't give up my Chronarch....

Back when I bass fished alot I liked low profile reels. That being said my 2 favorite were the Bass Pro Rick Clun, and the pfleuger supreme

Others may not agree but i like the Browning Midas reel... They're mostly all I use. I do have a Shimano Curado and like it as well. I would say you couldn't go wrong with either

Pfleuger, President. I've bought a lot in my life. The best for the money, period.

I second the Pflueger reels. I have a baitcaster and a spincast, and mine have also held up good from saltwater fishing.

Well, this seems to be old testament type stuff. That would be myself agreeing with DIB on the Pfleuger.

Shimano. I have 3 curado's and love them. If you want to buy a good combo, cabela's prodigy combo is very good. I have one of those and it is a great rod and reel for the money.

Another for the Shimano's- and then which one depends on how much you want to spend...

Have a few old Daiwa's (sp?) as well, last forever.
