I like the widgeon.....they're probably my favorite duck. I like the way they flutter and dip and dive when they're flying. They respond well to the whistle and the drakes are really good-looking birds........nice pics!

All and all how much money have you put in the camera?? I am looking at spending a grand or two on a good one and that seems to be a great camera!!

you could get a used camera body (canon 20d) and a used lens (canon EF 100-400) like mine for around 2 grand probably. I haven't really priced them lately, but I think you could do that. The lens will run you more than the camera.

what does it mean by camera body?? I looked and the ?camera body? was around 450 and the lense I found like yours was around 1200?? Does that sound about right for what I would need?

by camera body, I mean just the camera, no lens. Those prices sound about right. The lens hasnt dropped in price much, but the camera sure has.
