need some prayers for a friend of ours....

My friend Joey (reads here everyday, rarely posts as nez) Nesbit father passed yesterday. Joey's a member of Southern Flight and rides with me too hunt tests a lot of times (sandy's daddy), he's the guy in my truck who doesn't talk all the time, and a very good friend of mine. His dad was walking his dog yesterday morning in Amory and was stuck by a hit and run driver and died. Always tough to loose a loved one, but in a way that senseless has got to make it worst. Please remember Joey and his family in your prayers while they try to make sense out of all this and take care of their own. travis

I met Joey this year as I joined the duck camp that he was already a member of. Joey is a top notch guy, Christian and family man. Joey and his family are on our prayer list for certain!

Update:
Just read on the local news website where the vehicle and the driver have been found in Itawamba County. They have not released the name of the driver.

Hard to make sense of things sometimes. Just know that God would never put us in a situation that He would not help us get through. I'll put the family in my prayers that God would let them feel his presence and give them strength to face this tragedy.

Both a suspect and a truck have been located in a deadly hit and run that happened in Amory Saturday.

69 year old Billy Nesbit was walking his dog on Highway 25 North, when he and the animal were hit by a driver.

After tips from the public, police say Sunday morning they located that unnamed person and the vehicle that hit Nesbit.. at an Itawamba County residence.

So far, no charges have been filed.. as the investigation continues.
