let me put it like this: I said I was gonna quit dippin when skoal went to .35 cents a can! It aint easy. Never thought no way in hell I would pay 5.00 a can for it! Caught myself doing that the other day and thought about all the money I've wasted over the last 35 years! That'll make you quit!

I had the flu last week and quit dipping. It's been 6 days 23 hours since my last dip and I feel good about it. I started dipping 6 years ago when I quit smoking. It was a good alternative to the smoking. I do however smoke from time to time when I get liquored up

give it up for lint, if you can do it for a month and a half then you can make it.

I quit dippin before duck season. Bought my first can of cope the other day. Bad decision. I have since stopped again. Did I mention I have been smoking like hell since I quit. I am gonna try to quit it this weekend. If only I wouldn't have started the stuff it wouldn't be an issue. I think it's the habit more than anything. It's the sensation of having a dip in that I miss. Go to kick the can website and look at some pics. It will scare you.

When I first started dippin it was .20 cents a can plus tax! >22 cents total. This was in the early 70's

 I remember buying .35/can Skoal and .35 RedMan....but man I'm glad I quit Copenhagen before it got to $5. Expense was the primary reason I quit....that and the fact that I actually got up, put clothes on, and went to the store at midnight one night to get some because I was out and needed a fix.
