might need to invest in a fence.

(not being a smart a, but they don't know how to avoid a road, cars, etc.)

thanks everyone. just got back in the country and talked with vet. she had to have second surgery to remove the tissue that was sloughing off. she is not doing very good at this point and my expectations are low. she was set up to have blood transfusion today. we are giving her everything we can to help her but it may not be enough. vet bill already over 2500. I told him to treat her like she was his and do what was best for her even if it was putting her down.
Sunnylab, thanks for the info. I've never thought of a fence. That's a great idea. maybe even put a fence around my fence that is around their fenced runs. I'm thinking no gates either because I'm a dumbass and might leave the gates open. I know you only mentioned this because you know me sooo well and really care.
To everyone else that matters, thanks for the kind thoughts and prayers.

I'm finally back home. I went to vet and visited Tink for first time this morning. She was much better than I expected. She was able to get up and walk around a little which is a miracle after the last 48 hours she has had. Her red blood count got down to 9. For those of you like me that don't know what that means, normal value is 35-50. At <12 their chances are not good. She had her blood transfusion yesterday and they were waiting til a little later today to do follow up blood work and make sure she was regenerating red blood cells on her on. THIS IS CRITICAL. If she is regenerating the cells on her on, she will have crossed a major hurdle and may be able to come home. Thanks again for every one's prayers.

things are not matching up. She is up and walking but red blood count continues to fall. Even after transfusion yesterday it has fallen to 7. I'm on my way to State to the vet school now. They are hoping that bone marrow has not had a chance to catch up and with multiple transfusions, it will give her a better chance. Not out of the woods yet. I'll keep yall up to date. This has been a roller coaster of emotions. I still have not let kids know how serious it is. Will cross that bridge when and if it gets here.
