Thanks, I'm just glad that there are people that agree with me. I cant even watch a show on animal planet or Nik with my kids without them pushing that crap. Like watching some of those kids shows doesnt torture me enough. Thank God we only let them watch one show in the morning and one before bed, and most of the time its the outdoor channel. :D

I heard a report on the news the other day that Russian scientists had determined that we were about to enter a cooling period for many years.

Seems the global "consensus" on global warming is falling apart.

They'll crank it back up around mid spring when it starts getting hot. Its hard to sell your propaganda in late winter.

Alright you stinking genuises...I am more or less back for more discussion...SOOOOO, how was your duck season? Saw lots of ducks all season long I guess? The scientific evidence continues to roll in that GW is not only real, it is not only caused by human activities but it is worse than previously thought and getting worse all the time....

This thread started by my suggestion that GW was one of a plethora of factors in the continuning decline of wintering waterfowl in the MS Delta...I can tell you that- unequovicably- I saw fewer ducks in the South Delta this year than in any of the last 36 years I have hunted there....This is predictable- avian migration patterns have been changing dramatically all over the world....

Like I told yall many pages ago, dont take my word for it...Go the UNION FOR CONCERNED SCIENTISTS website or the NATIONAL ACADMEY OF SCIENCES website for the REAL SKINNY ON THE SCIENCE OF GW...

Go ahead spew more garbage about how this is an environmentalist conspiracy headed by Al Gore...Cant wait to hear your new takes on how the all powerful environmentalists are cramming this hoax down the throats of the Fortune 500, the US Senate, 17 states, etc.

Some of us had very good seasons Hammer, despite the lower water levels to start the season, and the occasional warm weather. There were several cold fronts that moved through during the season that brought with them new ducks. LA hunters had good seasons and large numbers of ducks. So, the ducks are still making it south in good numbers.

The recent warming weather trend has delayed the migration of mallards a bit --- many new birds arrived the last weekend of the season and continue to arrive.

There is a projected cooling weather trend on the way per many experts.

I look for some colder winters ahead and more normal migration patterns during our open season ---- note I did not say numbers, but patterns, particularly timing. I think the ducks are still coming in similar numbers as in the past--they are just getting here a tad later than many of us would like.

Only time will tell who is right or wrong. But, I still have seen no reason for panic or alarm or undue concern about the weather, climate or the ducks.

I have hunted ducks in the same area (Yazoo County) since I was 10 years old. At age 46, this was by far the fewest number of ducks I have seen in that area in my life. Certainly there are other factors but lack of cold weather and winter precipitation to the north for a substantial portion of the season was a factor....

Fortunately- you- just like I- dont count...John McCain counts, Joe Lieberman counts, the Governator counts, Sir Richard Branson counts, George Soros counts, the United Nations counts, the legislators and governors of 17 states (and counting) that are moving forward with state level GHG emissions programs count...The scientific evidence continues to accumulate...For every 1 dissenting scientist that you naysayers roll out, there are 100+ on the MY side...Incidentally, you still have not referred me to a website where any significant number of scientists have signed on to the position you are espousing...

Enjoy the next 11 months...You can bet your booty that as soon as McCain, Clinton or Obama is inaugarated, the gig will be up and the heyday of the 7 sisters will be over, the denial bubble will burst and your government - at the federal level- will be moving forward with mandatory GHG emissions reductions programs. Dont like it? You could always secede but I remind you that didn't work out so well the last time.
