Unless I missed one, the State fans posting on this matter have been supportive of OM keeping the Col. ( I for one, still am! )

Why go and mention "OUR SINKING SHIP". Would you please just leave us to waller in our misery, un-molested.

Rip Em, I'm pretty sure that GH22 and Webbmaster started the NCAA business. Prior to my above post, I have never responded to the banter back and forth between MSU and UM fans for three reasons: this is a duck hunting board; I come here to escape from other matters to read about and discuss a little hunting; and I have many good freinds who are State fans. Unlike many, I do not relish or derive enjoyment from the misery of our rival schools (including So. Miss). I prefer to focus my attention on my own alma mater and enjoy the successes and co-miserate in the losses.

However, this absurd discussion about changing UM's nicknames of "Rebels" and "Ole Miss", apparently fueled by the paranoid among us due to a proposal of UM to update, not do away with, its 50+ year old Col Reb mascot, finally drew me out. And if that were not enough, the NCAA business was the icing on the cake. Here's a thought: Mind your own business and you won't be minding mine.
