no worry's pal, I won't try it, 3 1/2's are for folks that can't aim that well anyway, I know a guy down here that will only hunt with a 20 gauge, ducks, deer, squirrel, wabbits, the whole nine yards, me myself I use a 12 gauge with three inch

landscaper...i expect somebody told you wrong (I thought they made a 3.5 red label for a while though).... a 3.5 shell will fit in a 3" chamber (measure the shell and see how long it is)....it's the bottleneck (forcing cone) at the front of the chamber that will create a pressure spike and cause problems (either sooner or later)....

Ruger builds some strong guns, but they can and will give if you keep pushing it.... I've seen a fellow keep loading 44's hotter and hotter till the Super Blackhawk finally gave....he was lucky.... his shooting glasses saved his eyesight..... facial scarring isn't too pretty though....

I've never used 3.5 and when I had to replace my shotgun that was stolen, I replaced it with a SX2 for 2 3/4 and 3 only. Saved $200 to $300.

Nice to know I can if I want to though.  Hey somebody else did it with their gun. I read it on MSDUCKS.
