Need help

Postby jwayne » Fri Jan 18, 2008 10:01 am

I am in need of a tine that is at least 9 1/2 inches long. Killed a deer that I am going to mount that had one broke off. I need it to make him even on both sides...Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated. Thanks

your taxidermist should be able to make one.

Why not just mount him with the busted tine?

The taxidermist told me to try to find one...I did not now that they could make one. I will ask him.....unkjohn, he will get mounted either way but, he actually has three broke points and he would look a little better if he had this point back on him...Thanks

but that's not the deer he killed. he killed one with 3 broke points. just wanted to stir the pot a little. I bet there are some opinions on this issue out there. let's hear them.

With all do respect…..I did not ask for opinions on this matter as to wither you agree or disagree with it. So if you don’t have any advice or suggestions on the subject, I would greatly appreciate it if you would kindly not post any unnecessary opinions. But as stated before any and all help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Got a hunting partner with the same problem. I think he told me the taxidermist is going to make one. If the guy mounting the deer has been at it a while, he should be able to do that. If not, let me know and I can get you the name of one that can.
I also have a few racks in the barn. Send me a pic of the deer and I will see if I have any that will match up for you. How heavy and what colr are the horns? Are you just looking for one tine?
