Do you know if they'll issue a replacement certificate? I killed a mallard with a band a few years ago, and was going to frame the certificate but somehow it got lost. :oops:

what kind of band was it? I know the avise bands will most of the time call in tell them the number and what happen and if there is anyway to get a copy and depending on if they are in a good mood most of the time they will send you one.

I have an Avise band from a Wood Duck, but that's not the certificate that I lost. The one I lost is from the US Fish & Wildlife Service.

call the bbl 1-800-327-BAND and see what they say they will help you im sure

Goto this website:
http://www.reportband.gov/
Submit the info & they will mail you a certificate.
The only problem I encountered is that older bands are not in the database. Not sure how old your band is, but it's worth a try.

Thanks I'll give it a try.

Went to their website and it was banded in Saskatchewan on 8/11/95. Thanks for the help.
