Wild Hog Sausuage

Postby Wingman » Tue Jan 15, 2008 12:21 pm

Best use of a .30-06 bullet I've ever made.

Hines Grocery at Broad Lake made some hot and mild sausage for me and it is fantastic!

Got some frying on the stove now. This is seriously cutting into my McDonald's money. Amazing how much money you can save when you don't go through those drive-thru's.

I figure with all the corn that was planted in the delta this year, a lot of the "wild hog" sausage is more corn fed than you might realize.

And it sho' is good...my buddies in south Georgia call it "acorn sausage".

Pretty sure this dude ate some corn in his day. Killed him on the place we hunt right next to about 300 acres of standing corn on the refuge.

I like it too. The way I like pork sausage best though has got to be with jalapenos and cream cheese already in the mix. Pretty good with cheddar also.

Yes indeed. They, hogs and Hines, make some pretty fine sausage. Speaking of Hines Grocery, what's up with the dark-haired, white gal working there? It just seems like she's always got an attitude, at least when I'm there. But, then again, I may just have that effect on women. Anyone else notice that?
