I bought 4 dozen of those dekes from Buck-N-Bass last year with a gift certificate from work. They did not have mags or super mags in stock at the time. They are not worth the money regardless of how cheap. Of the 4 dzn. that I bought about 40% had leaks due to shotty molding straight out of the box. Spend the extra $ and buy mags or super mags. You'll be glad you did.

I got a gift certificate to bass pro a couple weeks back and was scanning the catalog wondering what to get and I decided that 5 dozen decoys had to better than 4 dozen. After convincing myself that this analogy was indeed correct, I bought a dozen of the "redhead" brand mallards. And to tell the truth, they look pretty darn good to me. They are a lot similar to the thermophotoplacticizedbaked-on type. They cost $30/dzn.(8 drakes and 4 hens)

I think my next decoy purchase is going to be G & H with the movable heads. I want to be able to give the decoys a more realistic look and have heard a lot of good things about the G & H brand.

Drakeshead, You can't go wrong with the G&H. I would like to suggest the 18" wt keel. The heads do not remove, but do turn. Starting in August you will be able to buy a dozen split 8 greenheads and 4 hens. I've been on them for 3 years now, they are doing it this year.

Yea, those are the ones I want, the 18" with the heads that turn/can be positioned. I mostly hunt flooded shallow timber, so I was going to get the water keel, or do you think I should go ahead and get the weighted keel?

even if these dekes have cracks in them, they are a good buy for dry field hunting. We have cut the bottoms out and made shells out of them. You can't find dry field shells for anywhere near $17!!!
