Postby DeltaCotton12 » Sun Jan 06, 2008 9:29 am

has anyone here posted on craigslist and recieved very odd responces to your email? here is the typical response. they always refer to "their mover" and they are busy so they can't come see it but sure it will work..

i am ready to do business with you as soon as you're ready to make me your favourite buyer . My mode of payment would be in check, because that is the only convenient means for me. I really wish to be there to check out the item but i dont have chance cause am busy .Concerning the pick up, i can contact my mover right away once i know you are ready to sell to me ...but how ever, my mover would be at your place for the pick up after you receive the payment and it clears .Pls let me know if you are selling to me...all i need to make the payment is just your full contact info .. i really need to get is shipped to my cousin as soon as possible ...Get back to me with the follow info below,so that i can proceed with the payment immediately.

Sounds like a scam for sure! I check craigslist.org on a daily basis. Just bought a truck that was listed there last week. I paid cash, didn't use a check. :D

I guy I knew in NJ advertised his SneakBox for sale... He got a check for $200.00 over the amount.. The guy ask him to send back the overage... Mark waited for the guy's check to clear... It did not clear the bank... He called authorities... They told him you would be surprised how many people just write a check for the overpayment....
