"1" The only good thing to come out of it so far is the good fellowship with friends

Surely the longer a man duck hunts the wealthier he becomes in experience,in reminiscence,in love of nature,if he goes out with the harvest of a quiet eye, free from the plague of himself

wow...kinda early to be rating.... i've had a decent season numbers wise (had a pretty pitiful run a short time ago though  ).... the first 5 days in Arkansas really helped my numbers and when I looked in my journal hunting in Mississippi the first half of the season (although admittedly only hunting half those days)....I've killed 2 more birds the first half of the season in MS than the first 5 days in AR..... overall though numbers aren't too bad.... but I'm having to hunt HARD to get the birds...and hunting a LOT of different places.... but overall it's been a lot of fun...after all it isn't really about numbers, if I wanted it to be like that I would still deer hunt....

it has been fun though, I've had the opportunity to hunt with folks that have really made my season, and hope to get to hunt with a few more the next half....

I guess if I had to rate it I'd give it a 9 for the experience, and a 3 for the abundance of game...make of that what you will....

I would have to say a 5. I have hunted 7 times and killed 16 ducks. But two times I limited out on mallards and once on teal. Ducks killed have all been quality just not very many. Maybe late season will show more ducks.
