those kitchen sets are pure torture....

The predrilled holes on the big wooden swing set... BS!!! Helped a buddy of mine assemble one for his 2 girls. Started at 8pm, finished at 5am. Took us a 5th of Gentleman Jack before we decided we had to drill our own holes.

Can't wait till I have kids of my own...... :wink:

Putting it together is easy compared to gettting it out of the friggen box.. With all the metal twist ties that strap them in. I think I dulled about 20 blades trying to get the toys out of a box with a 2 yo crawling all over me..

THOSE FREAkIN TWIST TIES ABOUT PUT ME IN THE LOONEY FARM!!!!!!!!

19 month old cawling up and down while I am trying to wrench this toy out of the package and the in laws have the heat on 90 degrees. Man I was in a terrible frame of mind.

I have done the swingset, kitchen and a 3 story dollhouse as well. That swingset bout put me under.

Well, gator Ive only been married about 5 seconds longer than you, but this year, i just handed my wife my christmas bonus! took her a while to spend it, but let more days for me to HUNT!

Ok anyone else have to take out a loan to buy batteries for these toys??? And why in the world don't they make a screwdriver that will fit the screw on the battery compartment. :evil:

Ok, that does it. I'm takin' these extremely good questions straight to the source. - - - - - - - - my father-in-law. He!!, he's Chinese! Doesn't speak a d@mn word of English, but if anyone can find out why...

1) You can never put the thing back into the box it came out of,
2) The predrilled holes never match up,
3) They use so many twist ties,
4) The battery compartment is so hard to get into,
5) The plastic packaging it comes out of is so hard to get into, and then the edges are so sharp that you slice your fingers to the bone for the darn toy, and my favorite,

6)You never can get all of the assembly instructions/screws/washers/bolts/shims/etc./etc. to complete the job the way it looks on the package in the first place. :lol:

I can third that. Them durn twist ties had me cursing until the wife gave me some scissors to use.

Ok, here are the reasons - from our main office in Beijing, China

:
1) They actually sell a separate storage box as an 'extra accessory' that they want you to buy, so the box it came in is disposable.
2) they also sell electric drills and spare baterries for your current drill - separately, of course.
3) They have to do something with all of the recalled metal parts, so they make twist ties with them and send them out with the rest of the trash :lol:

4) Not to them, child laborers have smaller hands than we do.

5) You want security? Terrorists can't get into this product without an IED. BTW - They also sell scissors and first aid supplies.

and finally,
6) Calling for missing pieces = opportunity to sell 'Extra Accessories'. :shock:

Mine got the D&B in faux alligator this year (I picked of course)...I figure if she ever gets tired of it I could use it for a shell bag.

It wasn't cheap, but I think I'll get some brownie points out of it.
