Some assembly required

Postby Seymore » Tue Dec 25, 2007 12:52 am

There is some China man laughing his booty off at me right now. Putting this chit together is crazy. The plastic doll houses with all the screws are the worst. I just finished one and it took an hour. There's another to go and all sorts of little accessories. :?

i feel your pain.. i got two everything to put together.. dolls houses, waredrobes, high chairs, and a cradle.. only took me about 2 hours total... having one for practice made the second one fly by in less than half the time..

ps doll houses come up to my shoulders and i am 6'2".. 4 stories including the attic..

I remember those days at our house. Enjoy it while you can. The years pass quickly.

Now my kids have to help me open and figure out the things they give me.

Don't try that chit after drinking on Christmas Eve, it's damn near impossible and it really pisses the wife off.

I only had to put together one doll house and it was a biatch. There is no sense in making 3 and 4 story doll houses

First year I did not have to assemble something beforehand. Got one doll package with crib, stroller, etc. that looked so good in the box that the wife said leave it in there and let her open it. Some of those kitchen sets from past years had 1000+ pieces....they were tough.

I 3 and a half hours invested in a swing set that I had to re-drill most of the holes on, and I second not trying to assemble stuff after drinking on Christmas Eve, did that 2 yrs ago and I'm lucky I had finished before daylight the next day, and it REALLY pissed the wife off.

I want to know who designs the packages so everything comes out, but won't go back in!

Helped a brother and law put together a swing set that took about 5 different people 2 days, it was a BIATCH (no drinking involved either).

Got to thinking bout a guy on the radio the other day while putting together a kitchen and baby bed. If age range is:
3 & Up: 3 Beers
6 & Up: 6 Beers
12 & Up: just buy the whole case.
