Not bad, eh? I've killed a few bands although never a double, and never a banded greenhead.

And just out of curiosity, what do you think are approximately the odds of killing a double-band greenhead like this one? I arrived at 1:5000, although that number could be very incorrect.

man that must have been one bad dude right there.. double ankle braclets.. and a reward out for him.. wonder what he's wanted for.. dang thugs.. glad someone took him out of the population before he reproduced.. congratulations man.. that's a prize

Thats funny right there. Congrats on the band. I shot a double banded woodie ($100 reward), but have never seen a double banded mallard in person.

Nice. My friend was hunting last year and they had just finished their limits when a flock of mallards came in and lit right in front of them. The sun hit the duck perfectly and they all saw a reward banded greenhead hovering right in front of them. Long story short, they managed to show ethical restraint and watched him fly away.
