Ain't no expert but there plain awesome. The one with a 50MM lens at 5:30 looks like it's 4:30 through the scope.

I know their binoculars are the best I have ever seen. Buddy has a pair and every time we hunt together it makes me want to throw my leupolds at dark. Dont notice any difference till we hunt together though

i have two of the 4x12x50 a series with 1" tube

Certainly no need for the 30mm tube because with the 1" tube, I see later than it is wise to shoot. They have been durable and are very clear. i have the tds reticle in mine and if you plan on doing any distance shooting it is worth the extra $$$
There will be a day....

The purpose of a 30mm tube is for additional durability, not for additional clearity or light transmission. So save money and just buy a 1" tube model. You can't go wrong with any of them. No need to get a 50mm objective unless you really want one. A 40mm obj with transmit more light than you would ever need. Unless you like shooting a 9 pm

the 30mm tubes and larger objectives came about due to the fact that in certain European countries a large amount of their hunting occurs at night...and the additional light transmission and clarity was needed.... not so over here, so the 1" tubes and 40mm objectives should be fine....

The 30mm tube does not transmit more light than a 1" tube. It's a popular misnomer. Only reasons for the 30mm tube is that Europeans have the metric system, hence there is no 1" tube. Also, the 30mm tube has more room for windage and elevations adjustments, which is why they are better for long shooting. This is why Leupold uses the 30mm tube in their LR scopes (long range). Durability is a the other positive byproduct, as previously mentioned.
