At least at $250 a day, you still retain your ability to legally hunt
If the birds are flying great, but if not, enjoy the time; at least you're not at work.

exactly...I knew someone was going to throw out the comment on how "this thread is the reason you saw more people". No. I could tell you why there were more people in the one particular location, but I'll pass.

I'm sick of the whining as well as all the paranoia that it will be overtaken, turned into mahanna, and forced into draw hunts. It's the Tombigbee so give me a break! All you people calling me out for having a discussion that includes just as much negative information as positive information(aka the truth) are really on my last nerve. Kill a FEW ducks and admit on this website where you killed them(ahem, a 60 mile stretch of river) and get ripped a new one, oh no it's the next "delta hotspot"! All I can say is I'll see you on the TennTom internet scouters! You might get me today, but I'll be back tomorrow.

I know that the practical statements above will not stick, nor carry any merit, and some of you will rip me a new one(again) in order to look cool for your internet friends. All the while, I'll be laughing at "what I apparently know that you don't know." So, let 'er rip!

First, yes I'm on here a good bit primarily during duck season. During other "seasons", I go to websites geared toward that particular thing. I know there are good people on here. I didn't imply there wasn't, nor did I imply that I'm sick of the website in general. However, when bashed without merit, I am going to reply in a similar manner. In doing such, I just said that for every post of any decency involving locations, there are 10 that are absolute crap, and you know this. That's fine by me. I don't come here to "find out where the ducks are"(hence the statements in previous post), but I do have a problem when every comment I make in one of these threads that isn't "no water, no ducks" gets bashed to heck and back. The response I received previously for admitting <2birds/person at a different location is really laughable...I'm not giving away secrets here. Read the context of my original post on this thread and tell me that it deserved the bashes that it received. No. So, I can't shut my mouth and I'm giving up secret locations? Wrong. Again, I find this mildly amusing...especially the whole "flocks of people will come" ideal. If they do, they do. Chances are, they won't put forth the effort to interfere with me personally. If they do, that just means there is another spot somewhere in the millions of acres in this state that they aren't in. I can't help but think that complacency is the root of all the bashes that I have received. Complacency and sense of entitlement to a certain spot just because someone has had success there in years past. This is all negligable to the fact that I haven't yet given away a single "real" secret...

I appreciate your post, even if you did take the majority of what I said out of context and as a bash on the site in general, when in fact it was simply a comeback from the bashes I'd previously received without merit. I can still appreciate where your coming from...

i originally made this post to try and get a little information about a place i've never hunted. some people helped, some didnt. not a big deal. i think this is a great site and very helpful for a lot of subjects. everyone is entitled to their opinion. some feel fine to help others about hunting spots and some don't. we're all grown men and can do what we want so everyone chill out and kill some ducks.
