Postby Jelly » Wed Dec 12, 2007 3:15 pm

busted the heck out of some grey ducks this morning bout 30 miles south of greenville on a private lake. There were a lot of birds. All grey though. Saw lots of geese also. Must be ahead of the front. just an fyi!
Why is my mouth so dry this morning, when I drank so much last night?

I am packing now to verify your report. Got an extra seat if you don't have too many policies to sale in the morning.

Isn't Lake Jackson the one near Lake Washington with the clear side and mossy side?

I haven't drove down there yet this season, but I would imagine all the adjoining land owners have the ramps locked up tight right now. Funny they sure don't mind you launching there form Feb-Oct to fish, but come duck season and everything is locked downed tighter than Fort Knox. Wish I had a PUBLIC oxbow that I could claim to be a private lake all to myself! :x

What makes it public?, you should be thankful they let people fish the lake at all. They don't have to.

I was under the impression that if you own all the lannd around a lake, that made it private..

Waters are public, but inaccessible if they can't be reached without trespassing. http://www.ducksouth.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=31114
