What do ya'll do at your camp when a hunter hasn't returned and hasn't been in touch with anyone? How long do you normally wait before going out there to check in?

If we hear a shot, we go shortly after dark figuring something must be down. We mark where each person is going, so whoever is missing is reasonably easy to find.

If nobody heard a shot we may wait 20 minutes or so, just a little later, figuring they are observing critters past legal hours or just straggling.

After that, the Budweiser patrol will find you. I had a lean-to ladder contraption fall on me as I was coming down a few years ago and it broke my leg. It was a good feeling knowing that I didn't have to sleep in the pine straw that night, that soon somebody would show up. The plan worked and I got "rescued" and toted off to the hospital.
Them ducks is wary. We now resume our regularly scheduled forum melee in progress.

It's always a good idea to carry your cell phone to the stand. Just put it on vibrate.
