Take the gloves off!!

Postby Delta Duck » Mon Mar 24, 2003 7:51 pm

I really don't want to put our men and women in any additional harms way. When I saw the picture of the POW's shot in the head that was just about enough. War is hard and brutal. After seeing the captured soldiers had been murdered. My first thought was to bomb the hell out of them and kill them all. I do realize that is not the way to be.

What is the deal with the surrender flag ambush, It sure does put so much more pressure on our troops.

Delta...It sucks but don't worry....The gave their lives for the benefit of our freedom!! Yes it is very cowardly how the Iraqi soldiers executed them in cold blood, and yes it would be very hard to explain that to their parents, wives and children...iraq is fittna get theirs....with this new bomb...that's their booty....Its a 21,500 lb bomb w/ 19K of ordnance...it is 30 feet long and like 40.5 inches in radius....bad news for someone...Just keep all those folks in your thoughts and prayers.....it means a lot to know that the folks at home support what they are doing!!!! I'm sure they'd rather be home sippin' on a cold one kickin' the soccer ball with their kids or even gettin' a fish hook unstuck in their finger bcuz their kid dropped the fishing pole when he had the lure in his hand unhooking a fish...or even mowing the lawn...as crazy as it sounds.....I can think of about 7,000 folks onboard the Theodore roosevelt right now who would love to be here and mow my yard!! Or even the USS Abraham Lincoln..they have been gone for over 8 months now!!!! Things the everyday joe takes for granted are treasures stuck on ones minds right now that is in the desert in Iraq!!!!

It's direct violation of Geneva Convention (like they really care) to cover military uniform with civilian clothes. If they catch any more Iraqi soldiers in civilian clothes covering their uniforms, they have the right to drop them on the spot.

We knew they would play dirty...but they've only just begun.

Pray for our men and women over there. Pray.

Hmmm... I really don't know why you wonder what I will say... but heck, I'll give it a whirl.

First, don't think for a minute just because I am against this war, I'm not for our troops. There is a big difference there, but frankly, doubt you can understand it dusucks.

Secondly, war where we have our hands tied behind our backs is wrong. Pussyfooting around invading another country is not the way to do it. While I thought at first, it was applaudable the way things where going, with hindsight (which is great to sit back and use, but totally unfair I know) I know now that is not the way. If we send ground troops in ANYWHERE, they should know we are coming way beforehand, cause they got the $#!+ pounded out of them for a month beforehand. But like I said, thats hindsight. I said all along, if we are going to do this, do it right.

Third, hussain is still alive. Quit fooling yourselves we might have gotten him in the first 12 minutes of the war. It wudda been nice, but it didnt happen.

Fourth, we ought to kick the $#!+ out of turkey while we are over there. If we don't do it know, we'll have to do it in 6 months when they move into northen iraq and start a genocide on the kurds. That would be a good reason to go to war, but I'm guessing dusucks wouldn't know about that lil predictiment, or care.

Fifth, if we started this war cause your either with us or against us, and Iraq MIGHT sell weapons to terrorists, now that we find out that Russia is selling forbiddened goods to iraq, are ya'll ready to invade them next? If not, please share why, cause I'm dying to hear the answer. The proof is there, russia sold night vision goggles and gps scrambling equipment to Iraq, in defience of UN sanctions. So when do we invade moscow? travis

No douth about Turkey, We are going to have to watch Turkey troops that move into Northern Iraq.

Patton should have gone North in WWII. Reagan took care of the cold war!

Russia, How ever will become the next super economy. It's just a matter of time. Justice will be dealt to companies and countries that used UN food shipments to send illegal products to Iraq.

Saddam drew the red circle around bagdad. From the air it looks like a bullseye.

I hope the rest of the world will see why france, germany, and russia really didn't want us in Iraq now. Now they have to carry the label of arming Iraq.

kill em all nuke that peice of $#!+ hole !!!!!

WATERTURKEY – you can’t be serious. I had the same attitude a short time ago but no more. Your statement falls in line with what the Iraqi Amb to the UN accused the US of yesterday – extermination.

The pictures of executed POW’s pissed me off real bad. War criminals should be dealt with and treated as murderers – CAPITAL punishment. They’ll get what they are due either on the battlefield or in front of a military court.

The sobering reality of this whole mess also struck home when they showed the young Iraqi boy with half of his head blown off by a bomb. The six year old didn’t execute a POW. Did everyone also see the video in Basrah of the innocent, men, women and children running for their lives when they were fired on by the Iraqi death squads? These are the people that we are trying to liberate and we should stick to that mission.

Nuclear strikes go against what every soldier is trying to accomplish over there right now. Also be assured that if they are used, we’ll see the same happen in NYC or DC or somewhere like that. An unused nuclear arsenal is the best deterrent to a nuclear strike on the US. I think that we are better off being able to say “if you use it on us, you’ll take out a portion of our country but we’ll wipe you clean off of the map”. Otherwise, if the first strike were made by the US, every Arab, Muslim, and flimsy armed spineless UN security cnsl member would support attacks on the US and British homelands.

I support our troops
I support their mission
I support rebuilding Iraq
I support getting the heck out of there and bringing our troops home safe AS SOON AS the job is done – we don’t need to try and take fee simple ownership of Iraq.
