Lowndes/ Clay County

I m in my second year of duck hunt lookn for some tips on places to hunt other than Hwy 50 slu Is there any other places that aint hunted as hard as 50? any pointers also would be great

Waterway, tibbe bottom. good luck, find a old watershed close to you and cut your teeth on them birds first, then head west..
Kids are like coots,they come in droves for me..........

Nope. Hwy 50 slough is the only duck hole in this area. Sorry. :idea:

I live in clay county right across from 50 it just gets pound to hard
and its a good long haul in a 14 ft with a 12.9 chrylster all the way to tibbie back waters dont know tibbie that well every time i go to tibbie something happens like motor messes up or get a TRU TURN CRAPPIE HOOK In your THUMB

Before I got my duck boat, I used to get into Tibbee with a trollin motor and a Bass Hunter plasitc boat. Trust me, you can get there. You gotta be willin to do something.

ive been about 5 or 6 times in my bass boat just dont know what back waters are good i a friend thats got a ramp on tibbie to be honest my buddy started last year to but hes dad hunts mine dont so i have to teach myself so i really dont know much about it except that im addicted to it

TWR - Straight up 10.0

Go to Vicksburg and try a WMA called Mahanna!! You'll love it, TONS OF BIRDS and not many hunters AT ALL!!! The best place is the large field on the right, right after you pass the check in station, TONS of ducks and not many people hunt that area at all. I don't understand it. Try it out!!!

Just stick with it, there are alot of INs and OUTs to duck hunting. You will continue to learn something new most every time you go out. There are alot of knowlegeable hunters on here that will give you good advice, but others not so much. Just get some thick skin and you will fit in..... :wink:

guess the mods are cleaning up...... i have noticed alot of pots missing today from different threads. :shock:
