OSS'S

Postby torch » Tue Nov 27, 2007 7:52 am

I rode by a house Sunday that duck hunters rent for a place to stay. 15 trucks 2 Alabama tags and 13 Florida tags. I thought is was funny that people will drive 10 to 16 hours one way to hunt 2 days.

I drive 5.5 hours one way to hunt 3 days, but I ain't from outta state! :D

I have also seen the big influx of Alabama tags. I guess they ran the South Carolina boys out of town.

On their way back from Arkansas. Saw two Alerbamer pickups parked by a ditch with camo lawn chairs.

What constitutes an oos'er?
Do any of them get a pass? If you don't live in Ms you are not welcome? Is it ok if you grew up in Ms but have moved? Is it ok if you own land?

I'd like to know.

They are called "tourists" and the money that they spend helps the local economy. 15 hunters x 200 per morning hunt = 3,000 in the hands of local guides.

Naw they lease up ground paying exorbitant amounts and make it harder for locals to pay for leases. 8,000.00 for a feild with no pits or blinds just a 40 acre bean feild.. with no history. I wouldn't give 8k for a feild in the middle of fighting bayou.

The only good thing is they will be here one year then gone put their are thousands more in line waiting.
