HRCH UH MAK's Windjammers High Tide SH
November 5, 1995 - November 25, 2007

Schooner passed away around 2:00 this afternoon. He was a once in a lifetime dog stuck with me for a handler.

Before I bought Schooner, a dear friend of mine told me, "If your going to keep buying those chocolate pieces of @*@&, at least buy a good one." The day I returned from the 1995 LA fall grand I saw an ad and I purchased the last pick of a litter sired by Storms Riptide Star. Schooner arrived from Wisconsin 6 weeks later.

He was the first dog I trained totally by myself. In training he made everything seem so easy. Schooner got his HRCH at 18 months, was the youngest dog entered at the 1997 Colorado Grand, was the first male dog in Texas to earn 1,000 points and finally we were both on the same page, I didn't screw him up and he passed the Grand in Bryan-College Station in 2004 when he was almost 9.

We went through alot together over the past 12 years and it's hard for me to think of him not being here anymore.

Schooner, I know you were greeted by Cinn and Rocks at the Rainbow Bridge. Gods Speed Schoonie Baby.

I can't imagine what your going through. I only know my time is coming with my smooker wooker.

However, I wouldn't trade all the good times ......although we have to say goodbye one day.. and that's what keeps me going. I will give an extra ear scratch today in honor of schooner.......

Here's to helping dogs be all they can be and for dogs making us way more than we could ever be without them !!!!!!!!

Sorry for your loss, Janet. Hope there's a puppy in the near future to fill those big paw prints; every great pup deserves such a good home.

Sorry to hear of your loss, but consider it such a gain to have spent the last 12 years with such a loyal friend.
I'm on my 6th lab now and I still miss the other 5 but I have great memories to cherrish. You do the same.
