micro chip?

I got my dog chipped back in Oct. I never sent in the registration form because I left it laying around and the dog chewed it up.
Is the chip still good if I get new papers and register it now, or do I have to even register it for it to work?

You have to register it for it to work. Your info isn't tied to the chip until it's registered.

Go back to the vet and have them read the chip and give you another form to send in... heck, they prolly have the number in their records. Just tell them you lost the registration form and you'd like to pick up another. Shouldn't cost you a dime.
No big deal. Just take care of it this time.

I have the number on it and I have already been to the vet to get another form. All I have to do is make myself send it in.
