Airborne:

Let me simplify things for you. Rankin county is tricky for duck hunting. First of all, you have to start by asking the right questions. Its not so much an issue of which duckhole you hunt as much as it is a question of what kind of shampoo/conditioner you use the night before the hunt. Some guys think they can get by with some shampoo/conditioner combination, like Pert Plus. Boy are they dead wrong! 2-in-1 combos lead to dull, unmanageable hair. Just because you are hunting doesn't mean you shouldn't be looking your best. Splash on some after-shave after your pre-hunt shower, and you will feel like a million bucks. Looking good leads to feeling good, feeling good gives you confidence. Confidence you will need while hunting.

Getting ready for hunting

In the United States, we consider it a downright crime not to look the part of the hunter. In Europe, the issue is not near as severe. You see, Airborne, Europeans have much different beliefs regarding fashion and dress attire.

Another point on which Europeans and Americans tend to depart is on the European interest in combining leisure activities, such as hunting and cross-dressing (see above illustration). In the United States, there are very groups which embrace cross-dressing hunters. Fortunately, in Mississippi, there is such a group. They are known as the El-Camino crew. Located in Greenwood, MS, one of their favorite activities is flirting with trannys. When you show up at the scatters boat ramp in your camo dress, you can be sure they will take an instant liking to you, and want you to go along hunting with them. Good luck, and I'm glad I can point you in the right direction.

CWinkler has been nice enough to donate opening moring in his blind to you.
Go past Tommys Trading Post cross the 43 bridge. You will see a sign that says Turcotte Lab pull in park in the parking lot on right. Walk out the pier to the blind. You shouldn't need any dekes, its a hot spot. Best of luck.

Man where are the newbees coming from lately, this is the second one in a weeks time.

Welcome Newby!! This is a GREAT board to meet some really good people but you will NEVER get anybody to tell you where the good public spots are. Think about it, there are THOUSANDS of people on this board. I tell you my spot is on the East side of the reservoir 1 mile north of the last house on ***** Rd. I go up there Saturday morning and where there was never a vehicle there, now there is 3 or 4 and I'm SCREWED.

GET IT!?? Get to know people on here and THEN pm them and talk to them that way. Learning curve, you'll get it!!!!

WELCOME!!!! :D :D :D

Damn man,
you werent that helpful to me! I thought a duck hunting forum might be the place to get "useful" info. Some people are willing to trade information. Just cause we're "newbies" here doesnt mean we dont know how to kill ducks...I know how it is to have to keep secrets my best public hole looks like a shotgun start from the boat landing every morning....now I just lease my own private land...Guess you gotta pay to play! Maybe you and the "vets" could fabricate a "Newby Guidebook to Ducksouth Forums" for us.

Now THAT is what I call help JD!

You also have to pay to be gay. Of which you obviously do. Not everyone can afford a lease and if I could I definitely wouldn't be asking for public land info on here.
