Which draw?

Postby Kealhofer » Wed Nov 07, 2007 7:10 pm

My hunting bud got drawn for Howard Miller and Muscadine for the same dates. Jan26-27. Which one do you think would be better? Is there a way to swap with someone if you are drawn for two hunts on the same weekend?

Well muscadine is a giant roost hole but it holds ducks. I don't know about hw. Luckily I got hw and dk got muscadine and hw on the same day. We are going to muscadine if that says anything, but we do have a later hunt at hw. I would just keep in touch with folks you know and how they did at each place and go from there.

Are you suggesting that they should not have put in for drawings at all the WMAs? or just put in for one specific date on each? Its very possible that in ranking the hunting dates you could be chosen to hunt two different WMAs on the same day even if you ranked the dates you could hunt each no where near each other. Just curious on how it is supposed to be done?

what I think he is saying is that the mdwfp should figure out a way to where you couldnt be drawn for 2 diff. places on the same day. For example, I have been drawn for 4 places on 2 diff. days. Now that means there will be an opening on 2 wma's on the days I got drawn.

Heard a big screw up happened at the MDWFP. I was drawn for Muscadine, and my wife for Howard Miller (according to internet). Yesterday, i recieved four letters in the mail, Saying i was drawn for Muscadine, and HM , and the others saying my wife was drawn for both on the same day. But the hole it said she drew on Muscadine wasn't even a hole on the map, it was a hole on HM. Talked to a woman at MDWFP and she couldn't give answers, just said there is a big screw up and they have to straighten it out.

figures, I have always supported the DWFP but they need to figure out a better way to handle these draws, to many people getting drawn at 2-3 places on the same day.
