I dont think that they are advertising the closings yet due to political pressure. They dont want everybody complaining to their senators, reps, etc. right before season and get the ruling reversed. You know with elections coming up, politicians would use that to their advantage if it means getting a few votes.

Grenada Lake Hunting Club is in the process of leasing ALL hunting rights from the US Army Corp of Engineers. It looks like the bidding war will be between our hunting club and Delbert Hoseman.

Mark, will y'all be bidding on the spillway, too, or just above the dam?

I thought about leasing Sardis, but it was just too far to drive.

We won't be bidding on the spillway or dam, just everything behind it. Delbert Hoseman got the spillway and dam so he could control the water level in the Scatters.

Oh. Wow. Talk about a control structure. That must be nice.

I think I am going to get a group together and bid on Bear Creek next week. It's a little closer to home and not tied up in all that USACE mess.

We'll have everything locked up from Quito to Belzoni.

It couldn't be a state bill because they don't control access to federal property.

Hehehe, hold on there now. The fine supervisors of my county decided they would pass a vote to SELL Corps Land for the purpose of subdividing. They've got Tommy "Beef Plant" Reynolds spurring them on. I guess they think they own it or something.

Crowder Critter, I don't mean point pleasant, I mean some new land. I have yet to figure out how they're going to pull that off.
