Catchin Fish
Went fishin this weekend. Caught 23 LM bass Saturday and 2 today.....what a difference a day makes. Just curious about what some of yall fish with (lures). My favorite in the spring is an H & H Chartruese Double Spinner and a blue fleck power bait worm in the summer and fall. Wouldn't mind hearin about some "secret tricks" for these fish.....they're almost as moody as ducks.

Fished Friday,Saturday,and today.Caught 2 Friday with an 8 1/2 pounder.Caught 7 Saturday with another 8 1/2 pounder,and 3 more over 5.Caught 6 today with a 7 pounder.Partners catches were similar.
Spinnerbaits (chartreuse) were the most productive all three days, followed by a Yo-Zuri Rattlin Vibe.Fish were either shallow or suspended (fairly shallow) in deeper water.
Today there were a lot more male fish moving into shallow water, and they wanted a flippin tube.

fished a tournament at pickwick sunday 20 pounds won it they were caught on main lake points with crank baits we took 3rd with 12.36 pounds we caught our fish on steep rocky banks throwing a white spinner bait and a suspending jerk bait. We caught alot of fish just no quality fish
i think we had 2 that went 3 pounds a piece but that was our biggest.

I prefer the ole standard black pig and jig. I am usually crappie fishing until some time in april and that's the time when I use the pig/jig. a buddy of mine caught his biggest bass an 11 1/2 pounder in a large farm pond outside Middleton TN in February on a pig/jig combo...so I guess they work well in cold water months as well although I always heard to downsize and slow down in cold water.
For staging fish in the spring run a deep diver down off the sides of points pause and jerk, pause and jerk; if you feel structure work it some more. Got to pause to keep from hanging up and keep it in the stike zone. Also rip a red rattletrap type bait in same locations as fast as you can reel. Hold on!
