LOST DOG

Postby cpb » Tue Oct 23, 2007 9:43 pm

I am trying to help a man from Pontotoc find a dog. The dog belonged to his son. The son has since passed away. I think there was a post on here before but nothing came of it. The dog is black male that is with a trainer somewhere. The dads name is David Heatherly and the sons name is Paul Heatherly. If you know any trainers ask them about it. When I say any trainers I mean any big or small kennels. The dog may be with someone who just trains 1 or 2 dogs after they work 9 to 5. Lets try to find this man his sons dog. Thanks for your help. It would have seemed whoever had the son's dog would be trying to contact the son sooner or later regardless of the son's death. Have you tried looking at cell phone records, checkbook register, etc..This might be the only way. You would have thought a friend or somebody would have known who had the dog. Just trying to help.

George Henry is a trainer in Pontotoc. Timber Creek Retrievers is the name of his kennels I think.

George henry has been contacted and does not have the dog. The son did not write checks so there are no check records. The only kennel name in his cell phone was wildrose kennels and they don't have the dog. And apparently the son did not talk about where his dog was to anyone.

Josh I was told that he has been contacted and no luck there. I feel like somebody somewhere has got to know something. And if we get enough people talking and asking questions this dog will turn up somewhere. Thanks for your help.

Is there a way to find the registered Name of the dog and check with AKC/HRC to see if he was entered in any events and who may have ran the dog?

Troy I just got off the phone with the mother of the son and she said that the dog was not registered yet. I really am starting to feel that the dog is with someone in there back yard who only trains a couple of dogs after they get off work. I have been on the phone all morning calling trainers and that is the general opinion. thanks Clarke

I have called UKC. They do not have any dogs registered to Paul Heatherly. I will contact AKC and see if they can help.

Thanks,

Thanks Kristian. I have talked to the mother again. I asked her if they know where the son got the dog and the answer was no. There really is not alot info other than the sons name Paul Heatherly and he had a black lab that is a male with a trainer somewhere. You would think that whoever has the dog would like to get paid eventually.

I talked with Paul's father (David) after this happened. Somebody had given him our name to check with to see if we had it. Unfortuntately, we didn't but I gave him several names to check with and we made a few calls ourself. We didn't have any luck with any trainers or postings. We had asked around at some hunt tests as well with no luck. I had suggested to him to check the bank statements, phone records, etc. but they have not been able to come up with anything there either. They are continuing to monitor his cell phone in case someone calls with information.

We have called AKC and UKC to see if they have any registration information. We also checked to see if they have any records of his name appearing on any hunt test premiums - in case whoever had the pup was doing test work. I called Avid, Home Again, and 24-Hour Pet Watch to check microchip records. None had a match.

I talked to Dr. Greg Keller with OFA today to check if by chance whoever had the pup was doing preliminary x-rays. They didn't have anything registered.

After that, I'm not sure what else to check. We've tried everybody we know and thought of as many ways of tracking one as we know. I told Paul's father that whoever has it will be needing payment at some point and will be trying to contact Paul. The pup should be 8-10 months old now. David thought it was black. Past that I don't have any other information.

If anyone has any other ideas - or information - please let us know or contact them.

Thanks,
George Henry

I still haven't heard anything yet. There has been a lot of people talking about this and nothing yet. I called trainers everywhere and am now convinced that this dog is with somebody who only trains a couple of dogs. So if anyone on here knows of a person who only trains on the side and training is not there full time gig ask them about it. Thanks Clarke
