I don't know what part of the state Arlington and Bartlett are located; but I hope they are a good ways apart.

Actually, they are very close to each other.

Snapp: Good questions on leases. Looks like you have been there and done that. Heard you were a real pro and it shows.

Probably not since I'm laid up recovering from surgery.

Nothing discussed on this forum is worth blood shed. Just having an adult like discussion

But glad you could chime in to support your buddy. I'll definitely be looking over my shoulder from now on.

Hmmmm, work out of the office for the day and come back to more of the same.

Lets recap, I ask the fella leasing or helping lease this ground how the duck hole has done in the past and what to expect. I post his reply here for interested parties to view. You get your panties in a bunch about me doing so.........

You feel the need to tell me and everyone that you don't stand to gain from this deal. I don't recall asking you any such question. Seems to be similar to the car salesman that tells ya he aint' making anything off this car sale even though you didn't ask if or what he was making....... Then you go on to later state that you might get a case of shells and/or a steak dinner from the deal. So which is it? Are ya getting something or not? Is that a case of shells and/or steak dinner for everyone you send Mikes way? Frankly, I don't really care, thats between you and Mike but you brought it up.

You don't want everyone to know your business, however you tell us all that you spent $20k on duck leases or hunting this year. That just don't make any sense :?: You sort of played this one off as if all that money came out of your pocket. So is that true, or is that what the club spent? Heck, if I had $20k to spend a year on duck hunting my time would be too valuable to be posting $3,500 leases on the internet. I'd be buying and selling $500k duck holes.

Aw, your really good at the name calling. Can't say as if that bothers me any, kind of funny and generally the way the less than literate use to express themselves.

Snapp (who is a great fella and helps the ducks more than ever while supporting Delta Waterfowl) provides us all with some useful info concerning leases. Asks some of the questions that my crew and I presented just posed a bit differently.

You neglect to answer any question that ya don't like..........

Then a little more name calling.

Then you scold me for not thanking you for putting us in touch with Mike. Say that we wasted your time cause we didn't take the lease. Inform me of your many family connections in certain county/counties in AR. I for one am inpressed that your family knows people. You also let me know that you could have helped me out in the future. You always help the little man, your fellow duck hunter. You should be proud of yourself for doing so much for those of us that are less fortunate! Don't worry about me I have a duck hole on the TN river with some pretty good ole boys, known em all my life. Don't know how that have put up with me this long. We do well by any standards the first half of the season, but things slow down after Christmas on the river. I did also manage to get involved in a club in AR that has a few blinds, some timber a few fields and only a couple of them have PITS. I also asked them that TOPWATER question and they did manage to harvest a few more than 200 ducks last year.

Then you talk about whipping someones butt. A buddy of mine advises that, this would not be a good decision on your part and you make fun of him for providing some advice. Then make it sound as if he and I are after and gonna fight dirty. Guess that how folks like yourself might carry on but I can assure Marionfd and I were raised beter than that. Go ahead and talk about my raising, it aint' gonna hurt my feelings either. Surgery or no surgery most grown men don't run around acting like kids in gradeschool. I do wish ya a speedy recovery as any surgery sucks (been there done that before), hope ya get over it soon. I do expect had this happened many moons ago, we would have already gone to the sand lot and settled this for sure. I don't have time to get all worked up over someones posting on the internet. Especially someone I don't even know.

Now lets get to the rest of the story and answer some of Snapps questions.

You tell me that you and or your club previously leased this field/fields.

Mike tells me that is was leased by two boys from Alabama (Roll Tide Roll).

Mike also tells us that the previous leasors (the guys from BAMA) got their truck stuck and never came back to hunt again. This was the explaination for why they did not renew the lease. I expect this was the best answer Mike had, because he probably never talked to em again.

Mike tells my entire crew that if this field/fields killed a good # of ducks, that he would lease it himself and guide off of it. I neglected to ask what a good # would be.

You call us within 10 did I say 10 maybe it was 5 minutes of us leaving the field/fields to see what we are going to do as if your a realtor closing on a $500k home. Everyone in the truck was somewhat puzzled by this call, almost seemed desperate. Guess you were just really trying to help out your buddy, Mike.

I still stand by the fact that I think Mike is a good honest fella. You on the other hand, the jury is still out.

Afer reading this, let me know when to expect that butt whooping.

Deltaduk, you know me, I'm a nice guy  well I am brutally honest! :D

Dayuuuum Kelly,
Hope you have a great day today. I also hope you just drop this one as anyone except "them TOPWATERS" who called you a topwater would know, you have more class than to continue on this thread. Good luck this season, hope to get together for a hunt or at least a beer. Robbie

Kwacksmacker86, I hope you and your crew have a great season and do exceptionally well. The slough looked really ducky, but you know I doesn't really matter what it looks like to you our I it whether or not the ducks want to be there. Once again, hope you guys have a great year!
