Bubba...i like you man...so I'm gonna give you a bit of advice.... leave the batteries at home.... for the most part Mojo's and topwaters are kinda like dogs and fleas....where you find one you usually find the other....
start out with the basics, a few decoys, a call or two, waders, jacket shotgun and shells and chase those feathered jokers to hell and back....avoid the gear monkey if you can...that joker will spend all your cash and your wife will think this duck hunting stuff is too expensive...(voice of experience here)....
as for decoy setup....i usually set the decoys up down wind in a field.... ducks will generally light into the wind and this way they'll be flying toward you.... and when you're setting up decoys leave an open space for them to land.... that ought to get you started....
