I think your best money would be spent on a late 90's modle Browning Gold. You can get those all day long pretty reasonably. With the pump action you may find yourself behind in the blind if you cohorts are shooting auto-loaders. My first Duck was an 870EM, killed a truck load of ducks with it, however I let my brother shoot it now and listen to him wine about how badly his sholder bothers him the durring next morning's hunt. :D

I love my nova its been to the bottom of duckhole used as a boat paddle used to break ice when we get any ice its been froze up with ice and still shoots. I have had it for five years and it has never failed me except when I put some kent shells in it that had got wet while wading and all they would do is go poof and i could watch the pellets role out the end if the barrel.

870 all the way. Especially the wingmaster. It is the smoothest and most reliable pump out there. 8) There's my 2 pennies.

After duck hunting for over 15 years, I don't think I have ever had anyone out shoot me simply because they had an auto. They may have been better shots but it wasn't b/c I couldn't keep up with the number of shells getting slung. Until my Nova took a dive out of the boat last year I shot it and my auto.

Like someone said earlier shoulder each one and decide then. All 3 are good guns. I bought a Nova because it is mostly synthetic material and breaks down so easy. Before I ever shot it at a duck it got dropped in a tractor rut and run over with a 3wheeler. Broke it down in 10 seconds, swished it around in some water until all the mud was out of it, and had it back together in no time. It does rattle a little but who cares. I like the pump over an auto or O/U because I'd feel pretty sick dropping a thousand dollar or more gun in the drink. Get whatever you can afford and feels right.

I am very partial to my 870 Express Magnum (3") Synthetic. Great gun. Takes a heck of a lot of abuse and still works great. It's easy to break it down and work on it. Definitely recommend the synthetic so you don't have to worry about the wood. My .02.

don't waste your money on that crap. what you need is a russian-made anti-aircraft cannon, about 20mm should do the trick. try the drew, ms black market. i guarantee you'll be the only guy at the club that always gets his limit.

You guys are crazy. I will shoot against anyone with my BPS. I love it. Ask Quackhead about it. It's a killing machine and never has jammed and I have drug it through 80% of the mud on the MS River
