Clorox for poison ivy

Im prolly gettin into it this weekend, so im gonna take a clorox bath soon as i get out of the woods. How much clorox do u put in the water? Dont want to bleach my hair white.

1-2 cap fulls. Most of the time I just start pooring in in and then quit when I feel I got enough in there :wink:

Ok, after taking said bath in said Clorox....do you wait a while, then jump in the shower? Do you immediately jump in the shower? Do you not take a shower and smell like bleach the rest of the day? I'm asking because I figure that stuff would begin to burn your skin/eyes/nose after a while. How long do you need to stay in the tub of water/clorox mixture??

get you a bottle of Tecnu and dont worry about takin a shower or smelling like clorox. Tecnu is very inexpensive and worth $100 when you need it and dont have it

Take a shower with soap and water after soaking in a very, very, very mild bleach/water solution. You are gonna smell like bleach for the rest of the day no matter how long you shower.

what he said but I ususally dont smell like bleach to bad :lol: the key to keeping it out of your eyes is not to put your head under water :lol: but it doesnt burn to bad either. This is the only way to do it I swear by it

got to wal mart or wlagreens and find you some cala-gel. if i am thinking right it is made by technu and worked good for me.

not to be johnny raincloud or nothing, BUT, half these hands on here have seen a black panther (or know someone who has) in a south delta cotten field, chasing some alien........having said that, i'd think REALLLLLL hard on this whole "bleach bath" idea you got, and how 'it worked when i did it' type post...............they probably got pictures of a panther, they just "can't find them right now".

just sayin, gator

p.s. if you do take that bleach bath...........think NOTHING of the skin that gets eaten off your body, it's just part of the "cure"
