Mr. Pillow,
You speak of rights. You've infringed upon my rights as owner of this site. You've made a total of 4 posts on this site, and all 4 have been for the sole purpose of selling your leases. Does the Greenwood Commonwealth allow you to advertise for free? Then why should I provide you a means of promoting your business?

The post in the classifieds was deleted by me, three times, and I will give you 12 hours to delete this post yourself.

The way things work here are that you ask before you post something that might be seen as an advertisement. If I don't respond, that doesn't give you the right to post it anyway. I hope I've made my position on this clear. If you feel the need to discus this further, I suggest that you email me at webmaster@msducks.com.

Best Regards,
Micah Walker

I enjoy coming to this site to not only read about duck hunting and communicate with fellow duck hunters, but I also find it extremely interesting to look for items in the classified section. I do not know any of the individuals posted above, but obiviously the owner of the site posted above. I would like to say I truely enjoy his site, it is informative and easy to use. However, I am confused by the post above. This individual is not allowed to post his lease availability. What makes him different from the numerous other post which state land for sale, Lease Available, Vehicle for sale, 4-wheeler for sale, etc. These are all classifieds in which any newspaper would charge a fee for. I guess I just do not understand what makes this post different from the others. I find it, as I am sure other readers do, extremely informative to browse the classifieds in search of new leases, etc.

I was just interested in the difference so I will know if in the future should I wish to post an add in the classified section. Again, this is a great site and I wish your site/Company the best. Thanks

P.S. --> I am assuming this is an individual making this post and not a Company. If it is a Company I completely understand!!

Micah,
Heck you should make Greenhead pay the $500

I think the big deal was GOTDucks first post was about the lease.

I think if he had had more than 50 post and been an active part of MsDucks community nothing would have been said or done.

I hope he will stick around and shoot the ducks with us

GreenHead what did you say, With buddies like me who need enemies
Just kidden about the $500

Just like delta duck said for it to be your first post. No, hello guys, was your duck season as crappy as mine? Blah blah blah.... You jump in there yelling hey Got Ducks, Got leases call me!!!!!! To me it looks like SPAM. If it looks like spam, and it smells like spam,....... IT MUST BE SPAM..... Just like in a chat room when someone pops in with some little link to a website then leaves the room......SPAMMM!!!!!!!!!!!
Got another ? is the "G.O.T. DUCKS INC." the name of the land organization or was it just a catchy screen name. If several people are "INC." on a land ownership and your posting it for lease then THAT would DEFINATELY be COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING!!!!!! But that's just my .02
wait...wait....NOW!!!!!!!!

Skimming over the first page of the classifieds section, I only see two posts referring to land available for lease. Both are by "Gadwall2". One post refers to some land that a friend of his has for sale in Holmes county and another is regarding a leasing opportunity with a landlord taht he is dealing with himself.

Neither of these posts appears to be a solicitation for business. In contrast, your posts in the classifieds section represented a solicitation for buiness by an organized group of individuals looking to profit from the lease of hunting property. I deem this as a commercial entity, regardless of the ownership of the group. It is a business organized for the purpose of generating a profit.

Believe me, you aren't the first to get upset over this policy, but that's how it works here. The classifieds section is a place for individuals to post advertisements for personal property for sale and to relay information regarding lease opportunities, club memberships, and land for sale. If you stand to benefit financially from the lease or sale of property, then it becomes SPAM, and will be deleted.

I don't allow the Honda dealer to advertise his bikes in the classifieds so why should a land broker or landowner be any different.

I made my stance on this known over the past several years, and I do my best to be consisten in my enforcement of the policy. I hope that this clarifies where I stand on the issue.

Best Regards,

Micah Walker
