HOW WAS THIS YEAR?

... but if ducks are mobile, and travel constantly.... large distances.... how can you overhunt a hole ??
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

I think in some areas you can overhunt a hole, but two seasons ago I hunted the same hole 21 days straight, and limited out every morning.

Any year that I can hunt 2 weeks with my son and friends is a 10 on my scale. We killed some ducks on almost every trip and the dogs got a workout. I do not need to limit out to have a great time. Quite honestly, if I kill 3 ducks we have a meal and that is enough for me. While the Mallards were in short supply, the wood ducks, gadwalls, widgen, and ringnecks filled in for them.

Overall, we always seem to have good hunting in the so called bad years.
