bad day

Postby deadbird05 » Sun Sep 02, 2007 11:18 pm

got a phone call from the vet today and found out that my 13 week old chocolate pup passed on. she contracted parvo a week after her latest round of shots. i thought i caught it in time but i guess not. she spent 4 nights on and I.V. and i thought she was going to pull through but she couldn't hold on any longer. it sucks losing a pup this young. she was showing signs of becoming a great dog. already retrieving at fifty yards. wish i could have had the chance to find out. she will be missed.

Im sorry to hear about your loss , my prayers are with you and your family.
I cant replace what you have lost , but i have bred my male who is a realy nice dog , he has his HR and needs a few finished passes for his HRCH , all of his points have come from finished test , he has an amature 2nd in FT and 13 derby points and is QAA .
I get pick of the litter and if you want , i will GIVE the pup to you .They should be ready to go home late Nov. early Dec. The dam is out of GRHRCH top and bottom the only thing they will be black .

just watch for vomiting and diarrhea. if the pup starts acting different like not as hyper as usual you may want to get it checked out. i know from now on the first thing i see different i will go to the vet just to be safe. don't worry about the same litter thing. any dog can get it. it don't make it more likely just because of the littermate. thanks everyone.

I dont know how her littermates are coming along, but i loved this pup and i tried to buy her back from chase. he was doing all the right things with her and this really hurts me as well. i can honestly say she would have been a good one. so sorry bud.
