Easr Ar HRC Post Test Wrap up

Postby Frank B » Mon Aug 27, 2007 7:38 am

Many thanks to all that came and especially to all that helped. I will not name all the names for fear of leaving someone out, but please know how much your efforts are appreciated.

From a temperature standpoint, this was the hottest it has ever been, but we did have a breeze the entire time that made it a little more bearable. On Saturday the sandbar quickly became nicknamed the Dune of Death as the technical water created a lot of problems for the dogs.

The club was pleased with Saturday's concluding activities and it appeared that the ice cream and chilled fruit was a welcomed respite from the day's activities.

Thanks to all the judges that continue to make a committment to our wonderful sport. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

I think there is one name we'd all like to publicly thank... lil ed. While some people might just view him as sprig's knee boil, those of us that spent the weekend with him know he's the real deal.

We figgered this would our last crash at troy's, wif the wife and new baby coming. Heather said next year would be fine, but plan on getting up to change a diaper or two. Since we probably wont be asleep yet, its on.

Got the hrch on my char char, and my mom got there in time to see sat pm. Got to watch my friend scott and mike run rowdys brother coal for 500. And I got to run one of the most special dogs in my life ever, for the first time, and get a couple finished passes on chipper for glen. The scrapes and bruises will soon go away (I hope at least cause Im the walking wounded this morning), and soon that stuff will be all I remember, so its all good over here.

I'd like to also thank the folks that make hot damn. bwhahahahahah. Apprently, we've started a tradation that MUST go on. Dont know of anything to bring your friends closer to you than passing a bottle, or them pulling a smoking hot 500 pound 4 wheeler off your bruised and busted body. Lots of both of that this weekend, hopefully the hot damn tradation is the only one that shows up to hatchie. travis

Travis , lil Ed was planned to be laid to rest this morning , but after standing in a doctors office for an hour without even being aknowledged me and lil Ed hit the door

Maybe that's a sign , but I wouldn't be expecting to see lil Ed next time you see me , seems he's become quite irritated with me for some reason and I'm not puttin up with his attitude much longer . He will be laid to rest in a stainless steel bowl ASAP

To the EA members , I had a great time and you're more than welcome

say it aint so man. I just gotten past his demeanor, and really starting to warm up to him. Pay extra to not have a scar, you really don't want to mar those legs this early into hunt test season! travis

lil Ed

I met this guy for the first time Sunday morning. I can tell ya, he is one badazz looking guy. I would never want to meet him in a dark alley. Sprig, you be right. Cut him, cut him to the bone. If you leave just a stump, he gonna live right on.
Four wheelers that fall over, scared as I have been in a long, long time. The sight of your best friend under a big four wheeler and not saying a word is one I can live without. Wasn't funny then and ain't funny now.

I agree to disagree, in other words I disagree, it was perty dam funny!!!

After I heard his jaws flappin' as usual and twerent sreaming I laughed my booty off. He ahd just got thru bitchin at me for not getting lunches to the bird boys that happened to be placed on the tailgate of my truck. I had just ran my dog and was watering and trying to cool her down and put her back in the box when GB rolled up and pitched a hissy fit about the lunches. I had a few choice return words and off he went and tried to jump a 3ft tall old cotton wood tree that had fallen across the path and obviously didnt make it. He must have seen a premonition of Lil' ED and it scared him....  BWAHHAHAHAH

Seriously though I am glad Steve Lackey or GB twerent hurt too bad. Steve had a few bumps scratches along with GB. It could have been bad...real bad!

All in all it was a fun hot weekend. Went 1 fur 2 in the ribbon category. I lost Daisee on the water blind out on the desert sand dunes Sunday. She decided it was cooler up on the leeve and twerent no stoppin her. I was proud of her though she nailed all the marks this weekend without a hunt including the land test Sunday as we ran test dog and yep lined the dang blind. I met a few new folks and hung out wif some of the regulars. Hot Dam will definitely be on the list for the next hunt test!! :!:

what you don't realize is, hissy fit WAS me being as nice as I could be. I had already been around the tree 50 times, including when I had just came around it and it pulled a buncha crap off my overloaded bike. Hell, i jumped that tree last year on set up day... it aint got no bigger so I figgered it was cool. didnt figger in the 100 pounds of wet ducks on the back of my bike (that later that day broke my rear rack, again). I gotta say, once glen got that handle bar off my leg and i figgered out I hadnt broke nuffin & the gas I was smelling wasn't figgin to be on my gravel rashed legs, it was pretty funny. too bad I was too far gone to laugh.

that step up and down the big hill scared me nuff last year, i didnt ride my bike up or down it even on friday. I knew that was a potienal e-room trip. didnt figger on the tree though. Looking back, nobody can account for where lil ed was during that time... Im thinking he might just flipped my fat booty over for pure d meaness.

thanks to glen & big ed, who apprently rescued me. I remember glen running to me and me telling him to move the bars, I don't think I even remember ed turning my bike over. scott greer was nice enough to offer me first aid where my arm and shoulder was bleeding, and I dont even remember what I said to him. I apoligized to him the next morning, hoping I wasnt rude when he was just trying to help. travis

Travis, man, you could lose a leg and somehow it would still be funny. I laughed my rear off when ya'll told the story later that evening. Hopefully I'll get asked back next year and won't be recovering from the crap I was and I can partake a bit more of the hot damn cause I love that stuff. It was a blast. I really enjoyed the 5 year old that ran on Saturday. Even though he did ask me if I wanted to die...........

He has really come of age lately. I have known him for several weeks now. From when he started as a minor irritation to a major pain in the booty!!!

Hey GB you will be pleased to know that me...Nash...T-bone...and Eddie (not related to lil Ed) were all makin' plans to take rid the world of lil Ed just last night.......we had a plan to get sprig liquored up and drop lil Ed a notch or two........BUT...sprigger said he wasn't lettin' go so we decided to let lil' Ed live another day........................promise you he will not make it through the weekend though....Nash is gonna sit on spriggly whilst the rest of us go to the plug on lil Ed....stay tuned!
