Do you stop?

I got 3 senerios for you, I would just like your opinion.

#1 You are alone in the truck headed home. There is somebody walking on the highway. Headed your direction. Do you stop and offer them a ride? Or do you keep going?

#2 You and your wife are headed home from wal mart and there is a guy walking on the side of the the rode. Do you stop?

#3 You and your newborn baby are headed home form church. Your in the front seat your newborn in his carseat in the back. A guy is walking down the road going the same way you are. Do you stop?

WHy or why not?

ditto why? because now days aren't like days of yore when people still had a conscience. the guy could have the kindest, brightest smile you've ever seen and the darkest heart hiding behind that smile, more than willing to kill you (smile still beaming) for the $40 in your wallet and your car to get him a little further down the road to his next victim - who are you to him?...

Are you willing to leave your wife and child to continue on without you if he believes (for whatever reason) he is Lucifer in re-incarnate and it is his duty to impale wrath on all mankind?

Sorry if you think this is the wrong way of thinking, but there are too many cases to back up this line of thought.

1. Is the person male or female? How old are they ? Are they carrying anything, or just walking? Have I seen a broken-down car in the area ? Have I ever seen them before ? Are they on a back road, or a major highway ? Are they probably homeless, or maybe in trouble some how ?
