Thoughts for high mileage truck.
Thought I would try to get some feed back on some trucks that hold up with 85k to 100k. I would like to have a crew cab 1/2 ton. This will not be a main vehicle but need something dependable. Anyone have any thoughts on about a 2003 Ford or 1500 HD with this kind of mileage? I have not ruled out just a ext cab Z71, if I can find a bargain. Those Fords have a pretty high resale for the mileage.

99 Z71 extra cab. 160,000 miles. one bad brake caliper. one bad anti-lock brake pump. other than that no problems at all whatsoever. helluva truck. would not doubt getting 250,000 out of this one. i am religious on changing the oil every 3000, and i keep everything else serviced also. I am a firm believer that you can pay for it now, or pay more for it later.
