If I walk close to it I get it all over, but I usually take a bath in Clorox and it will kill it. Might want to try that

I used to be the same way. I would always get it so bad that I had to be put in the hospital and in there for several days even for just looking at the stuff. As I grew older I just kept getting in it; turkey hunting, fishing, trimming trails, bow hunting, and the like. I never would learn to just stay out of it. Well I have been noticing for the past 7 or 8 years I have not broken out. I might just get on little bump here or there but nothing serious. Has anybody here ever heard of something like this. I guess I just kind of "grew out of" being allergic to posion ivy.


On another note, Ramsey wants to know how to get of them webbed footed crotch critters he got while in Argentina.

I scratch mine with a knife and it will start oozing stuff out, I will then keep scratching it until I am satisfied even if it starts bleeding, and then I will pour the alcohol to it. Make sure the knife is clean and keep pouring the alcohol to it and it will scab over. Note that when you pour the alcohol to it you better man up cause it stings.

What in the hell happened to your leg? That is Joe Namath style right there. I'd get a second opinion b.c it is probably a beech to get waders over that deformity.

The stuff Paul Harvey talks about is Zanphel and it costs $40 for one ounce. It sucks, doesn't work for me.

I have been allergic to posion ivy and oak all my life. I always get the steroid shot immed and usually get the steroid pills as well (you know 10 the first day 9 the next, etc.). Applying a very watered down solution of bleach (clorox) has always sped things up for me, just make sure the blisters are not open. Don't care how tuff ya are, that will make you cry! Good luck, remember its mind over matter.

Take one of those cans of compressed air that you use to clean your keyboard, turn it upside and spray it on the poison ivy, yeah its as cold as a well diggers booty but it freezes it and dries it up pretty good. Ivy dry is the only over the counter stuff that works half way decent for me. I do wash my arms down with paint thinner if I know i've been in it and can usually avoid getting it.

I'm allergic to it also and found out during a first aid class in college how to treat it. Get in the shower, or if its just on your arms you can use the sprayer on the sink with wife's permission, turn the water on as hot as you can stand it and let the hot water spray hard against the affected areas. The relief will be unbelievable because it feels like you are scratching it but you are really just causing the affected areas to release the histamines which cause the itching. Do this as needed and you will be over it in no time. Good Luck!

The Zanaphel works miracles for me. Better than the shots at the doctor. My dad works for MS Power and that is what they give all their guys now. I have also heard a good deterrent for it is keeping galon jug of clorox water in the truck then wipe down with it after leaving woods. GOnna start doing that.

I used paint thinner and clorox and gojo and a match. Once the flames are put out I dont have the itch anylonger...hard on the hair but it does grow back

I always use Ivy Dry, but if I am out, I run hot water over it (as hot as you can stand). It at least makes the itching go away for a little bit.

I was thinking that !!!!NAPALM!!!!! would be a good cure

try tec-nu- it works- over the counter lotion that removes all the oils that cause the problems...better to use it right after getting into it, but still will help dry it up----best stuff I have ever used, and im extremely allergic to the stuff....good luck.

Naw its striaght now; you can't even tell it was broke besides all the scares. Sometimes I get that pimp limp when I am wooln though. Oh yeah, tell you what sit in a wheel chair for awhile and you will know how tuff real gimps are brought a whole new meaning to tuff.

I had open heart surgery when I was ten. A broken leg does not qualify one as tuff to someone who has been cut in half. Never the less, it looks like it might have hurt a little.
