Just figured up my totals and they are:

26 hunts........78 ducks

Mallards.....41%
Woodies....24%
Pins..........12%
Spoons.....10%
Teal..........8%
Gads.........5%

I had more fun hunting this year than I have in a long time. I got to hunt with some old friends that I haven't shared a blind with in ten years or more. Rekindled these old friendships, and made some new ones. All in all a successful year for me............

It really was a decent year for me compared to last year.I try and keep a close record of my duck hunts just so I can remember how good it used to be.Hunted 39 very very hard days in MS and killed 77 (312 as a group).29 honkers. No bands which is uncommon because we killed 3 bands last year and 8 the year before.Hunted 5 days in Arkansas for a combined total of 17. I'm beginning to think that the MS flyway has moved west or the # 's they reported are very incorrect.

10 days, 51 ducks (24 mallards)...

Way better than last year (19 days/67 ducks/22 mallards) but a far cry from the 1990s when I hunted alot more...I have gotten where I dont hunt ducks unless I know they are there...When we got ducks, I hunt them...When we dont, I hunt deer instead...

I am fortunate in that one of my duckholes is 30 minutes from my house and it is on the way to my deer woods which are 60 minutes from my house and where another of my duck holes is located...I also hunt some public land that is near both areas so I got it real good (better than I deserve) but I want to see more ducks and I am tired of the lies and propaganda of DU and FWS...

First thing, shorter seasons/smaller limits, second thing, predator control...Third thing, Canadian CRP program...Simple as that..and you didnt need a bunch of banquets, fancy office buildings or other BS to figure it out.

Appreciate it injun, You ought to try it sometime. It's a hell of a lot easier than getting hung up and putting bait on a hook

5 Mallards, 12 Woodies and 3 gads. Not bad after last year. When does the season start?
